Off Air: Average Joe: 11/10 Episode 2 Summary

Last week we met the beauty, Melana who was introduced to the sixteen Average Joe's.  It started with the sixteen but it ended with only twelve.  She wants personality.

The show starts with the guys leaving the show.  The guys who remain seem to be upset that the guys leave that left.  (These guys are really sweet) Tennis anyone?  The guys go play some tennis but one gets hit and that seems to end the game.

Um, in walks Tony Gondzales from the KC Chiefs.  He greets the guys and tells them that she was a cheerleader for the KC team. He also tells them they need to clean up the house.  He says the house looked like a locker room but they cleaned it up fast.

They head outside and the group all gather. He is glad that these guys are not the model type but average normal guys, says he likes it.  He says there are some good guys there, guys you would want to marry (see, he sees it too!) The whining and moaning of Zach starts again and John goes toe to toe with him when he mentions wanting out again (Zach).  Now Zach says he hates John, last week it wasn't him... it was another guys who he disliked (eyeroll)  Zach goes in then ends up in the yard with Zach. They have words and Zach is back to his don't want to be second of second best (to the camera and also says that John is a sissy) Awww, John is so upset and walks off to talk with another one of the guys. John says that he doesn't normally lose his temper like that. 

Kathy Griffin, the host gathers the guys.  There will be three dates (groups of four) Only one of the four guys will get to have dinner with Melana at the end of the dates.

Date One-Tareq; Marc; Joe; Brad get to play masseuse
They are giving Melana massages and getting to spend some one on one time with her giving her the massage.  Tareq first. She liked the stimulating conversation with him.  With Marc, she asked what they think of Zach. With Joe, she asks who is the oddball...he says Marc has the Napoleon syndrome.  Next person.. Brad.  She asks who he thinks should move on with him and Dennis (he shocks her by saying that he and her would be more friendly)

Brad is the only one who gets in the mud naked. Tareq says that when Brad talked about the deal with Dennis, it lowered his feeling toward him.

Her choice for dinner will be Tareq.  They walk out to a beautiful scene. They talk about how many countries he has been to.  They seem to have a nice chat on the terrace.  The conversation doesn't seem to end.

(The guys chat.  Brad talks to Dennis about part of his conversation.  He sort of leaves out the part about thinking of them as only friends.)

Back with the Tareq and Melana date.  They are having a great time it seems.

(Brad is not happy at all with her choice for dinner, he has mentioned that she was looking at him as she chose Tareq and he thinks that she chose him since she was least sure about him-Tareq. He also thinks that he would have been the guy's choice if it were up to them who was chosen.)

Date ends, they hug and Tareq says he might be falling for the girl, she tells him that he is not a nerd.

Date Two-Rock Climbing: Zach, Dennis, Jerry
She is scared but the guys like the view.  She offers whoever gets the highest gets dinner (UGH, Zach is the muscle guy in this bunch)

Dennis starts his climb first. Dennis wears hearing aides and has some problems.  Dennis has also tried out for Survivor two times and hasn't made the show yet.. He climbs and does a great job with it!  I'm impressed! He is almost at the top, he is near to the top, he is AT THE TOP! Way to go Dennis!!!

Adam
Adam gives it a try and ends up crashing here, crashing there, he is having a hard time and ends up back on the ground. (he's funny)

Jerry next..
While Jerry started the climb, Zach and Melana walked aside to talk. She wants to know if girls tell him he's a jerk (LOL) but that she liked him and wanted to get to know him more.
Jerry is at the top!  She hugs Jerry (walked back over with the group).  Jerry's time was a little over six minutes.

Zach last and he ends up winning.  She thanks the rest of the guys for the date and it's dinner date time with the two of them.  They sit and eat dinner on a rock.  Cool.  She tells him that she really liked his eyes but couldn't remember his name.  They go back to her house and they hit the hot tub.  (Ugh) To the camera, she says he knows how to be with women and OH NO, they kiss. She smelled smoke on his breath but they head inside and onto the floor and pillows and they end up kissing again. (oh man...)

Date three-Boating with John; Jay; Craig; David

John goes to talk to Melana about some things. They chat then Jay comes to talk to her. (She thinks he is funny) Craig next...he talks to her.  She tells him that beauty comes from within, she says she wants to go to his bar. (She laughs) David is last and they talk but he thinks she wasn't listening to what he was saying. (she says to the camera that she had no clue what he was talking about)

Her decision for dinner...John (he looks really happy, I like him)
David said that he was surprised by her choice but thinks they both (she and John) are fidgety.  John puts his arm around her and they boat off to dinner on the beach.  Very cool, they get to roast marshmallows and the date seems to go okay until.... He started singing. (To the camera, she said it was sort of dorky) She kissed him and he was thrilled. (You could tell that and that was pretty cool but uh oh...he think it might be love, she hopes it isn't love and I'm hoping that it wasn't but that he moves on or it'll break his heart)

Back at the house, it was tell, tell, tell by Zach and John wasn't telling, telling telling. He did tell Dennis about it.

Elimination time-
Zach is doing the nerd thing on the bus again. Dennis and Zach talk and then it's time to gather for elimination.

Adam laughs with Melana with a pack of gum and a lollipop in case he gets an alone date like Zach.  (Zach pulls him aside and tells him he didn't expect something like that)

The guys go and get some alone time with Melana before elimination time. Kathy enters and takes Melana and tells the guys, six get the axe.  (Aww)

Melana comes in and says the decision was hard to make.  She has developed some chemistry with some of them.
Going home will be:
*Marc (awww, we never really got to see him this show)
*Craig (awww, she seemed to like him too)
*Jay (awww, him too)
She comments it doesn't get any easier
*Joe (she tells him that it was hard, he says to the camera that all the guys were over 200 pounds..not really..Marc was there)
*David (she and he didn't connect on the date, I didn't think)
Last to leave...
*Dennis (WOW, awwwww, man...she tells him that amazing things will come to him in his life and there is a lady out there for him)

(WOW, Zach just scored some MAJOR up points for the comments he made on Dennis, saying he touched his life and was in tears as Dennis left)

Next time on Average Joe:
Melana thinks that there may be the guy there for her and there will be a twist!

The show closes with Marc saying he dunked Zach's toothbrush in the toilet the morning after the egg incident. (gasp)

Still enjoying the show, it's interesting to see how the reactions are going between them all, who would have thought she and Tareq would have connected so well or her and Zach.  Moving on...Shame, shame Marc.  Boy I hope they got him a new brush
