TVNews: The WB's Supernatural Gets Online Debut

The WB Television Network and Warner Bros. Television Production have partnered with Yahoo! Inc., a leading global Internet company, to provide a sneak-peek of the highly-anticipated new series, &ldquoSupernatural,” on Yahoo! TV. The “Supernatural” web cast will be available in its entirety on Yahoo! TV (http://tv.yahoo.com) to anyone in the United States with internet access for streaming beginning at 9:00 pm EST/6:00 pm PST on Tuesday, September 6th through Monday, September 12th. The show premieres on The WB at 9/8c on September 13th.

To get the largest possible audience to the launch of “Supernatural” on The WB, Yahoo! will provide a great deal of information on the series, its broadcast and online premiere throughout the entire Yahoo! network, including the Yahoo!'s home page, the Web's most trafficked page, and on Yahoo! TV where the show debuts September 6th.

“ ‘Supernatural’ is so good that we believe its best selling point is the show itself. We've put this massive promotion and special sneak-peak together with Yahoo! Entertainment so the broadest possible audience has a chance to view it,” said Garth Ancier, Chairman of The WB.

“This promotion on Yahoo! will help us generate tremendous buzz on the internet and great word-of-mouth for the series,” said David Janollari, President of Entertainment for The WB. “Yahoo! has designed an unprecedented promotion across their entire service to break through the clutter of other media and help reach the savvy young viewing audience that we know will embrace ‘Supernatural.’”

“This program from The WB is one of the most highly anticipated shows of the Fall season and we're excited to be able to offer this exclusive premiere,” said David Katz, Head of Sports and Entertainment, Yahoo!. “We think it will be a ‘natural’ fit with our loyal online fans.”

“Supernatural” has earned some early critical raves from across the country and is expected to get a great deal more when reviewers file their stories closer to the broadcast premiere on Tuesday, September 13th.

“Supernatural” From Warner Bros. Television Production Inc. in association with Wonderland Sound and Vision, with executive producers McG (“Charlie's Angels,” “The O.C.”), writer/executive producer Eric Kripke (“Boogeyman”) and Robert Singer (“Midnight Caller”). “Supernatural” stars Jared Padalecki as Sam Winchester and Jensen Ackles as Dean Winchester, brothers bound by tragedy and their family's eerie history. Together, they criss-cross mysterious back roads in their ‘67 Chevy Impala in search of their missing father while hunting down every evil supernatural force they encounter along the way.
